Is this any good for constipation?

Brody isn't very regular always has soft poos. However today he went and it was like play doh. Pretty solid.

He's strained to go since but nothing :( He doesn't seem to be in pain thank god but am not liking it one bit!

Tried cooled boiled water earlier. Going to do this more today too. Had a bath with him (new experience!) so could get nice and deep round middle. No difference so far.

Thanks xxx

J has been on I Infacol since about 3/4 weeks due to colic. He is a poo monster. His poos can be a bit liquid but not diahorria. I wondered if it was the infacol which makes him a poo monster. I'm wondering whether to dial back on it now coz he doesn't seem to be too colicky the past week. Then again could just be the infacol working.

No infacol won't help.

Have you tried some prune juice or take 1tsp of pure orange juice and mix with 5tsp water then give to baby.

Sophie's on infacol and it only works as something to line her stomach before I give her her bottle and helps to bring up the gas.

She was really constipated the other day so I got her some more colief as I know this clears her out. I was finding if gave her the recommended 4 drops she was sick so I only put 2 in and she's a much happier pooing baby :)

Hey Hun, poor brody :(

When Will gets like this the only thing I do that gets him too poo almost immediately is tepid water with a dash of orange juice. I had to do it last night and the poo arrived before he had even finished the 3oz xx

Thanks for replies ladies  I was really feeling for him last night. Although he seemed fine, the thought of him being bagged up and needing to go was horrible. Thankfully, he went after his bottle this morning. There was a few lumps in there but it was mostly the usual smelly explosion.

I may try the OJ trick in the future. My HV said something about them probably needing to be a certain age as orange is acidic? Does anyone know how old they need to be or if this is true (they all say different things in my experience!)

xxx
