Im sure theres hundreds of threads like this, but I didnt have the patients to siv through them all.
Okay so Im booked in for a homebirth but If I go to far over will have to go in to be induced, so midwife told me to try all the natural ways possibe to evict baby! :)
Whats worked for you in the past?
Have drunk stupid amounts of rasberry leaf tea(I know it doesnt actually induce labrour) bout to have a jalapeno pizza(cant do curry dont like most meats, onions etc ) so settling for jalapeno pizza & hopefully will 'do the deed' If DF is up for it

Anmore ideas?? (I dont like pineapple!!)

Evening primrose oil inserted fron 36 weeks - Again this one is like RLT - not really to induce you but definitely helps soften the cervix.

The night before my waters went we :bd: and I went to bed in my wedding knickers! I hoped sods law would break my waters on them! It was a full moon and they went about 4 am :D

OH joked about the full moon with the MW at the birth centre and she said that they always have extra staff on when there's a full moon coz it's always busy!! she said it's the first thing they check when they get new rotas.....if you're on call on a full moon then you might as well come into work because you'll be need!

have you had a membrane sweep? My first was 16 days overdue and i was in labour when i went to be induced - i wasn't risking that with 2 and 3 so once i was overdue by 3 days i went in and demanded one - i think i had three with my third, but they seem to do the trick. Castor oil is supposed to start things off, but didn't work first time and was so horid i vowed not to do it again - pineapple much better!

I'm sure you'll get a few sweeps too especially with you being booked for a homebirth :)
