Induced Labour

Im going into hosp at 7pm to be started off i.e. induced. Im a nervous wwreck today full of every emotion under the sun! Excitement, nervousness etc

My OH is taking me to hosp and is able to stay over if he wants but i dont want him staying over if birth isnt going to be for another couple of days. I know there is no way of telling and you have to play it by ear but i was just wondering if you would be kind enough to share your experiences of induction of labout with me so i can prepare myself mentally for different scenarios of what can happen and how long things averagally can take
