does anyone know if it's normal for babies to hiccup more in the last few days/ weeks of pregnancy or if it's a sign of anything? I'm 40+2 and for the last 5-6 days baby I have felt baby hiccups at least twice a day - which wouldn't bother me but Iv hardly felt them at all until now. It might just be that because they are bigger I can feel them more strongly but does anyone know if this might indicate anything else?

Thanks x

My baby has hiccups a few times a day, definitely more than twice and it's been like that for a while now. I don't think this means anything other that the baby practice breathing etc but if it worries you, ask the midwife x

Hiccups shouldnt be recorded as movement
If you think their movement has been reduced past day pr 2 go get checked
Even though room is less, it should just mean that their movement is 'different' not less
Get checked out xx

My bub went through a phase of getting them at least 4-5 times a day, lasting about 10 minutes each. I mentioned it to midwife and he said it's totally fine. You may just notice they hiccup a lot when they are out too! It's them practicing their breathing so I wouldn't worry x

It's so cute, there's no lathing wrong with hiccups sweet xxxx
