my freind has just got an implant and is happy with it it stops her getting pregnant for three years anyone else got 1 whats your views i have heard that when removed you can have trouble concieving again...

i had the implanon (sp?) implant in my arm. I thought it was very painfull getting in and even worse getting back out. I had it in for just over a year and became PG with Colby 2 years later but i was taking the pill before comming PG. I had alot of problems with the implant i kept bleeding after the 6 months. The first 6 months were great as i thought i wasnt going to get another period but once they did come it was hell.

Everyone is different and it just depends in your own body how it will react. I was supposed to go get the coil fitted but i chickend out and didnt fancy the idea of having an eptopic pregnancy so im back on yet another difernt pill.

I have it and apart from the erratic bleeding Iv had no problems, its much better, for me, than remembering to take a pill everyday! I usually bleed, very lightly, just spotting for 2 weeks, the nothing for 2 weeks, then spot for another 2 weeks.But they say it takes a while to settle down, for some people it does, for others it doesnt.
I would recommend it becuase if its not for you its easy to have it removed. It didnt hurt me having it put in!

i just found out from my sister that they are supposed to freeze it they didnt freeze mine no wonder it flamming hurt

yeh I had an injection to numb it, so I didnt feel a thing! ooo must have hurt without that!!!

i rememeber crying like a big baby OH was with me holding my hand its funny now i think bk butwasnt at the time....lol
