Does anyone know how long it takes for the baby to completely implant in the uterus? I know it can take 6-12 days to travel down to the uterus but how long after it's there will it take to complete the process and start producing hcg?
Hi Hun this is what I found online
Implantation, when the fertilized egg implants into the endometrium, happens about a week after ovulation (range: 6-12 days), and it takes another 3-4 days after implantation (9-16 dpo: days after ovulation) for the blood pregnancy test to first become positive, followed 2-3 days later by the early positive pregnancy urine test, the home pregnancy test (HPT).
Hcg will start being produced when implantation has occurred. Asking when this happens is like how long is a piece of string which is why some ladies get a + at 8dpo and others have to wait till 12dpo onwards.
