i was worried up until having my first scan 2 weeks ago, after finding out everything was fine and i saw my little bean on the screen with a tiny lil heartbeat i was overjoyed....since watching Corrie last night i have been sooooo scared about my baby and what could happen..i might sound thick but all this pregnancy stuff is new to me but if a Doppler what you can buy to listen to your baby's heartbeat at home? i told OH last night i want to get one becuase otherwise i can see myself worrying all the time!!!!

:(

Corrie has a lot to answer for  So many people are worried now after watching it. I bought a doppler as I was constantly worried during pregnancy so it gave me some reassurance. The only negative side to a doppler is that if baby is positioned funny, sometimes its very hard to find heartbeat which can send you into a frenzy for nothing. I bought the Angelsounds one off ebay for quite a good price

 Easier said than done, but try not to worry. I'd would recommend buying a doppler if you really are too worried, use it once or twice a week and you'll feel it kicking in just a few weeks then you know it's all good :)

Try not to worry, I know how you feel I was always worrying at the beginning I used to make myself so depressed, but once you start to feel the baby move like Nicky said you will be reassured by that. If I start to worry now its only a matter of time before he gives me a good nudge to say he's ok and it wont be long til you start to feel yours now. I think if I had got a doppler it may worry me even more as sometimes it can be hard to find so it may be better to wait a bit or get a good one like Midna said. xx

Someone told me what was going to happein in corrie so i purposly didn't watch it.

I have a doppler and it's ace being able to listen to the heartbeat but the only thing I will say is that it's quite difficult to find the heartbeat at first which can make you worry. I've also found with mine that becasue baby is moving around so much even if I can hear it really strong one minute even if I don't move the doppler the next minute I can't hear a thing then it comes back again. I always wonder if I'd worry if I couldn't find it but because I've heard how much it can disappear while you're listening to it that if I'd put the doppler on when it was silent I wouldn't hear anything so if I can't find it for more than 24 hours then I'd worry.

The other thing is to try and not do it every day too.....or you could become obsessed with it. I listen every other day or every 3rd day or so.

It's highly unlikely that it will happen to you hun  Try not to worry (easy to say I know! But we're all in the same position).

I didn't get a doppler til 16 weeks because I know what I'm like and would panic if I couldn't fine the HB... I didn't the first time round, but that was because my volume wasn't turned up high enough lol

As soon as we conceive, to the day we die, we will worry about our children
