I have mentioned this quietly in Chart Stalkers and in another thread, but now I am so excited I am writing my own thread! It probably shouldnt be in this section but I dont really know anyone from other sections only us TTCers.
Im getting Married!! Yay!!
Last week my OH and I had a brief chat and I said to him, 'shall we get married' and he said yes! We have been engaged for a year and a half but we have never really discussed any plans before now.
Since last weeks decision my mind has been entirely Wedding occupied. Which is good as this will take my mind off TTC slightly
. So we have decided with August 2009, probably the 1st. Its ages away but will give me time to save up some money, and I can buy little things over the next 16 months. Im meeting up with my parents tomorrow night to discuss the Wedding, I will then dare myself to ask how much money they have to put towards it. They have told me they have a wedding fund put away for me so its not as cheeky as it sounds.
I have decided that Im only having my Niece Thea and my Nephew Eddy as Flower Girl and Page Boy. They will be 5 and 3 years old by the time of the Wedding.
I dont want any grown up Bridesmaids as it will cost too much and it would no doubt cause problems between my friends. 
Im not going to spend much money at all, I intend to buy my dress from Ebay (they are so cheap!) and I will have a silk bouquet and posy also from Ebay, I can keep them forever that way. My colleague is going to make our cake as she is an ex professional cake maker and my friend is a professional photographer. So its only really the Reception that will cost any real money.
Ive already found my flowers, Flower Girl dress and Page Boy outfit so I dont know what Im going to do for the next 16 months!
We are going for a pale gold theme for the cake ribbon, flowers, balloons and Grooms tie - we wont be having waistcoats, just plain black suits, white shirts and pale gold ties for the Groom, Best Man, and the our Fathers.
I shall book my Reception next week. I cant buy a dress until just before the wedding really as I wont know what size ill be. I really really hope that I will have had a baby by then, but at this rate who knows!! Im praying to get pregnant sharpish, have a baby and lose the baby weight by next August anyway! Send me loads of babydust please!

because the Registrar has to go all over the shop to the weddings at the 'approved venues', so I may aswell have a wedding at an approved venue myself! It costs an extra £300 to do that, but I really dont want to get married so early cos I really dont want a sit down meal, I just want a posh buffet, so the later the wedding the better as I wont have to entertain all the guests for too long between food and the party. This is stressing me out already!
