Women who are charting their temperature and see a drop after they have ovulated may not be pregnant or they may not be taking their temperature accurately.

Mine went up to 36.8 and after ov to 36.4
why do i have to keep looking things up!

Im terrible for this! over researching everything.
Sometimes the internet is a complete demon! very useful tool, but can be hellish for us lot!
Try not to worry!!! your only 1dpo sit back relax and take it easy!

Hi Darlin,

I don't know much about temping but I'd really try not to worry.

I had a strange old month this month and look what happened to me, my ovulation wasn't until day 24 which was weird and then I thought AF came, then I did a test not because I thought I was preggers but just to be on the safe side because I knew I was gonna be drinking lots on a night out....So basically I think if it's going to happen it will and things don't have to be perfect, according to bloody google for a BFP!

I really wouldnt stress about the temp charting-i think it is a good thing to do but my GP didnt really think it was very accurate!! I have been doing it this month and noticed no change (its meant to increase after ov i think?) so i started to think i didnt ov but i had the pains and everything during ov so who knows wot my body decided to do!! I got my dates wrong so wasnt able to pee on a stick!

Hapy thoughts and stay away from google!!

Thanks ladies, i don't know alot about temping either i just wanted to see what it went upto when i was ovulating. Why do things have to be so complicated for us. Wouldnt it be great if we BD then found out straight away ha. 12 long more days to go!! xxx

There's often a random high or low temperature change for no apparent reason. It's only if the temperature stays high for more than 3 days that u have definately ovulated, from what i have read anyway. Or if you look at your chart at the end of the month you may well see that they are all still in the "higher range" of your temperatures even though they fluctuate a fair bit. Do you take your temp at exactly the same time each day. My temps have been all over the place this month but i haven't been setting my alarm like previous months so think that must be where my variation comes from.

I have been taking my temp for a month and its all over the place! Been taking it at the same time every day but no change...I think u need to take it all the time so you can see the change! All these things we have to do to get preggars-it could never be easy could it!

no i don't take them the exact time its actually all randomly out of curiosity lol maybe thats why. i don't think i could do this temping thing think ovulation sticks are for me, i think i have a water infection now dunno where that came from so im in pain a bit x

I was temping for over a year and you MUST take your temp at the same time each day OR you might as well not even bother, even when you are taking it at the same time every day outside factors can effect the result, like Alcohol, feeling off colour, having a restless nights sleep.
So PLEEEEEEEASE do NOT rule yourself out this cycle hun xxx
