Hi everyone!

I'm new here, although been reading your posts for a few days now. I've decided to sign up as I thought it'd be good to "talk" to others in my situation, as at the moment on my husband and I know :)
I'm think I'm just over 5 weeks, with my due date being around 14 May (although I think I ov'd a few days late - so waiting to see what the doc says about dates).

I haven't been to the doctor yet. I phoned them last week, and they couldn't fit us in until next week, unless we went during the day which is difficult due to work restrictions, and as it's still really early days I thought another week wait would be fine! So I'll be around 6 weeks when I go next week, and then assuming he'll set me up with a midwife appointment..?

Anyway, wanted to say hi! Anyone else around the same date as me? I keep reading about everyone going for scans etc - so exciting! 7 weeks (until I'm 12 weeks) seems sooooo long away!

hi hun!! im due may 12th and im 5 weeks 2days so id say u were bang on 5 weeks today!! i went docs straight away couldnt wait lol and got my first midwife on friday :)

how you feeling any symptoms? i know 7 weeks seems ages dosnt it!! im counting down the weeks hopefully it will go fast!

Well, my LMP was 5 weeks ago on Friday, meaning I'd be due 11th May, but then I'm pretty sure I ov'd a few days later, so I'm counting Mondays instead of Fridays (if that makes sense?) meaning yes - I'd be bang on 5 weeks today. I suppose I'll know for sure once I have a scan!

Ooh, what happened at your docs appointment? This week seems really early for a midwife appointment, I was under the impression you had them at like 8/9 weeks? Or does it depend on your area?

So far symptom-wise I've had: really sore b00bs (literally from a day or so after conception, so I thought it was just in the run-up to AF!) They are actually getting quite veiny now, and are definitely bigger! A bit of nausea some days, but mostly just because of certain smells and if I haven't eaten. Tiredness. Needing to pee a lot more!
How about you?

Hello, and welcome. I am also due around the same time as you. I have also been to see my GP already, just to get the ball rolling and in the system as it would be. Got my first midwife appointment in 3 weeks.
Wishing u a healthy and happy pregnancy xx

Docs just gives you some advice and will give you folic acid and should book you in for your midwife. i requested my midwife to be earlier as i previously miscarried at 6 weeks.
so want to get the ball rolling and get and early scan iv known since i was 3 weeks pregnant lol the earliest my doc has ever seen :p

Same symptoms really, very sore boobs! they are also big and vainy now. im soooo tired all the time keep having afternoon naps lol! needing to wee lots and a bit of nausea.

Welcome to the forum :) I'm fairly new and have already found it a great source of comfort and reassurance (as well as a fab place for a good old bitch and moan!)

I'm a little ahead of you, due around mid April. Already had my first docs appointment, midwifes appointment and now anxiously awaiting my first scan which is at the beginning of October. My pregnancy wasn't planned so i'm still in a state of shock as well as being ridiculously tired, nauseas and worried on a daily basis. Ah the joys of pregnancy!

Good luck with the pregnancy :) xxx

Bee, I'm exactly the same as u with the shock, worrying and tiredness lol! Iv now gotten used to the fact that there's a tiny person growing inside me lol. Is this ur first? Ur right crackers, every1 here is lovely :) xxxx

Yes it's my first. And although it wasn't part of my plans and the circumstances aren't the best, i'm finding that i'm actually really happy about it (apart from the sickyness/tiredness/constat worrying haha). I guess that saying 'life is what happens when you're busy making other plans' is actually quite accurate.

How far along are you keira?

Yes its so true, could have happened to me in better circumstances but I'm so happy and excited and bean is loved so much already! I'm 7 weeks 2 days, had bleeding a few weeks ago so had a scan but could only see sac as it was so early so I've another on thurs and I'm really nervous about it. How far on are you? Its my 1st too xxxx

I'm roughly 8 weeks. Got my first scan on October 5th but so far everything has been ok *TOUCH WOOD*

I hope it all goes well for you hun, if you already had a scan and everything seemed ok then i'm sure there's nothing to worry about. It's nice to be able to talk to people who are going through a similar thing. I don't know anyone else who is pregnant at the moment so it's really nice to be able to come on here for advice and to vent :) xxx

Babybrain - "madhouse"...my name seems to fit perfectly then!!

keira - good luck with your next scan.

Bee - I'm also in a bit of shock, although this was completely planned! We got married in July and decided to try straight away (we'd decided that about 6 months before the wedding!) My periods were a bit all over the place for a month or so before the wedding (mine seem to act up whenever I'm slightly stressed, or lose a bit of weight) so I wasn't sure exactly where we were. However, I got a period nearly a month after the wedding, and then I kind of knew where we were. And we caught the next month's egg! So I'm shocked in that it didn't take us very long at all. It seems all so surreal - especially as nobody else knows yet.

We are planning on telling our parents and siblings at the weekend (so I'll be approx 6 weeks), and then probably nobody else until the 12 week scan.

Have you guys told many people yet?

Yea I know, fingers crossed itl stil be ok but I'm just so paranoid but was a lot worse a few weeks ago lol. I'm the same, don't know any1 else who's pregnant so use this forum quite a lot :) xxxx

Thnx crackers, ill let everyone know how I get on xxxx

Crackers, wow that's really lucky that you fell pregnant so quickly! Congratulations on your marriage and pregnancy :) Some people have to try for ages. I always thought i would be 'reproductively challenged' because i've had a history of pelvic problems. So it really, really shocked me that literally one careless time was all it took. Although as my mum keeps telling me 'it only takes once!'

I've told my family and a few close friends and my boss. Only people i would struggle to keep it from really. I don't want it make it common knowledge until i have had the 12 week scan and know everything is OK. I think that's when it'll start feeling more real xxx
