i'm giving the magic medicine a go

Well we got our BFP with it first month of trying when i ttc luke so i'm going to give it a go again this month, i brought it last month so its waiting for me!!
i'm on day 12 normally ovulate around day 28 so going to start taking 5mls 3 times a day from day 21 to give it a week. (i have the boots own brand one)

hiya i got this from Rusks reply to my post about it a while ago:

its cough medicine with the ingrediant (see below) that thins your CM making it better for spermies to travel. when i ttc DS everyone was using it and it really worked for loads of people it worked for us first cycle of trying. i took 10mls three times a day leading up to ovulation

What is Robitussin used for?
Robitussin is a brand name of a product that is based on guaifenesin, an expectorant. There are other guaifenesin based cough syrups also (Equate also has one). It is used in TTC to thin the CM mucus to make it more sperm-friendly. 1-2 tsp. twice daily until ovulation. Make sure the product only contains guaifenesin without added decongestants or antihistamines, which could dry your CM.
BEWAREextromethorphan, an ingredient in some cough medicines, may cause birth defects.

I've started taking it this cycle so i'm with you there lol good luck its a bfp this cycle for us both

Ah, thanks for that. I might give it a go, but I have a sad feeling that I'm not even ovulating yet, since coming off the pill in April. I have just had 2 rubbish periods - one last month and one 28 days before that - since I came off, but it's so light, I think my body still thinks i'm taking them! I might see how I get on this month and then try it next month.

I've posted another thread about periods though, I thought mine weren't right because they were so different than on the pill but I think it's normal

We should all get the magic medicine going on this month there's been hardly any BFPs just lately, it's our turn!

i have stoped taking the magic medicine now i have ovulated

I've been taking magic medicine (just a swig each day, not measured it) and a spoonful of honey each day this cycle and I've definitely had more cm , I've ov'd now so stopped taking both.

Last time I did that I got my BFP so fingers crossed for this cycle and good luck to all ladies trying it out

We have only got 2 bfps on the August testing thread -flossy and me.

Maybe we are going to have a late surge again like we did in the last week of July

ing we all get a bfp this month i have to say i don't know if its worked for me yet but my cm was so much i was so shockked i've never been so 'wet' down below when i had eggwhite cm

i haven't been taking as much notice of CM this month but it appears to be less i know i am 11 days off ovulation yet but i may cave in and start taking it a bit earlier.

When I've taken the magic medicine I've taken it from AF to OV so I don't think it would be any problem starting it now.

If you didn't want to take the medicine yet then you could take a spoon full of honey each day until OV, that's supposed to increase cm as well.

I started taking it yesterday Rusks so me and you are in line... I don't know when I will OV because my last cycle was 45 days but I'm going to take it twice a day from now on in...
