bright red blood

I have called the midwife and she has told me to keep an eye on it and didn't sound concerned as it started after sex.

I forgot to tell her i'm rhesus negative, so will see if it settles and then call her back with an update as she asked and also to tell her my blood group.

I know it can happen at any stage of pregnancy, but I'm concerned as i'm not far off being term.

Could this bring on labour? Has this happened to anyone at this stage of pregnancy?

Ohh not sure hun,was there a lot? maybe the sex disslodged something. But they should maybe take a look as your rhes neg you may need an anti d jab.

There was a fair amount to begin with now it's just when i wipe.

Yeah I think I may need another AntiD jab - joy! Will see what she sayd when i call back in a few minutes.

I'm hoping I don't need to go up to the hospital though as they are dealing with a norovirus outbreak at the moment!!

Just spoke to the midwife and I have to go up to the hospital for AntiD

She told me not to worry about the norovirus as its not in the maternity ward, but i'd rather stay away from there altogether at the moment

hope you're ok hun, this happened to my SIL a number of times too all the way through her pregnancy and right up until the end and she was also rhesus neg so had to keep having the anti-d

i had a medium bleed at 34 weeks, woke up to find a puddle i the bed.
went straight upto the ward and they kept me in ove night to keep and eye. it did go away but they said unless its continuous and or baby is destressed then they brush it off as normal. they didnt even want to scan me but i insisted and all was ok.

I just got back from the hospital.

All is fine and they gave me the AntiD.

i had bleed at 36wk
i was told theirs blood sacks on your cervix that can burst and its perfectly fine
