If you are late going into labour

but do not have to be induced as labour progresses naturally can you still have a water birth?

I was told as long as you don't go over 14 days over but I suppose every area is different x

My area is 12 days over til induction...if u go into labour b4 that then u can have a water birth x

I was induced and when I spoke to my midwife AFTER the birth (how very helpful ) I was told I could have still had a water birth even though induced as I wasnt attached to an IV. When you go into hospital whether overdue, induced, on time ect, just make it very clear you'd like a water birth and Id say 9 times out of 10 you could.

If i goto the hospital and they tell me i cant have a water birth, im going back home to my bath LOL

I thought that might be the case soneone told me if ur late u cant but i thought general rule would be if all ok in pregnancy and baby ok and not using tens epidural etc all ok

well baby tegan was born in the water and i was 4 days over will try and post birth story in next couple of days x
