Okay, so I am 5 days late from my period. I first became sexually active with my boyfriend a few months ago. We use condoms, but I am not on a birth control. My last period was June 21-26. I should have started on the 21st but still have no blood but am having symptoms. My hormones have been off where we are kind of long distant and haven't had sex during the summer months in between college. However, he visited on July 5th and we had sex that night, he finished inside me but was dressed for the occasion. Idk if my body is just having hormonal problems from being sexually active, taking a break, to become active again. However, (TMI) I just got some sex toys for the first time as well to help my needs as a woman with him gone. So, that also adds to my hormone theory for being late if there is an increase in them. I mentioned the toys though because I got a dildo, and I tore. I have a little light brown blood after wiping today. I don't know if it is from tearing, implantation, or about to start. 5 hrs later still no fresh blood though. I am a little nauseous, but its from the stress and not eating enough I think. My areoles don't look different, but my boobs are swollen and hurting. I am cramping a little. I am hungry more at night. I am unable to sleep. I am not using the bathroom any more than usual. Sorry if the post is all over the place. I wanted to get opinions before I bought a home pregnancy test. I don't want to be pregnant, as I am in college to become a doctor. Plans change though.

if you're late just do a test. all your symptoms could be period related or pregnancy related. we can't tell you

I cant see that you will have a high chance of being pregnant if he used a condom and have had regular periods before this time.
If you are still in college and dont want to be/get pregnant, you can get sexual health info and testing free in certain places for young people. They are usually for under 25 year olds but are confidential. They can give you the pill and free condoms (male or female) plus other forms of contraception, or morning after pill, pregnancy testing etc.
If you google information services for young people in your area there will probably be something come up, most main towns and cities have them.
Good luck xxx

Update: not pregnant. Did not have to take a test, I started my period the next morning. Thank you for your advice! I am looking into getting onto the pill, so that I do not have this stress each month
