Hi everyone

I hope you are all well. Sorry I have not been on for a while but with Christmas and going back to work I haven't had time to turn round. Joseph is 1 a week tomorrow and I am trying to find him a dairy free birthday cake. He is fine with soya just not milk or anything dairy as he is allergy to the protein in cows milk. Any ideas are welcome as to where I can buy him a nice diary free birthday cake. We are in the North East of England.

Thank you in advance
Vicky x

I tried to fine one everywhere and couldn't my friend ended up making my son one
He is dairy and soya intolerant so it was double hard work

Good luck and let me know - you could get one made from a cake maker but cost triple what a supermarket cake would

Thank you I will. It's a nightmare. We see the dietician next month and I think they will want to try him on the milk ladder. I am dreading it. It's too short notice for a cake maker I think sadly. My own fault for leaving things so late x

You could make one yourself take no time at all
Plenty of recepies online for dairy free baking that's probs your best bet - I know it's a total pain we just started my lo on bits of dairy he's 16month now dieticisn said it's likely hel grow out of it like I did as a child , think I was 3 when I fully over it but I feel your pain.

best bet is to make one yourself even if it's a little cupcake he won't mind or know and get a supermarket cake for other kids if he's having party or whatever he won't know and ul still get a pic of him with his birthday cake then.

Thank you. To be honest we are still trying to work out what we are doing. My family live 40 miles away. I went up there for my nieces garden party but I don't think they will be over keen on coming down here. I have been looking at a lovelt thomas the tank cake for him even though he can't eat it. x

Ocado have a large selection of free from foods. So if i was you I'd have a nose at their website and see if they stock anything.

Tesco value birthday cake is dairy free. Not the tastiest cake I've ever eaten but it looks good. X

Tesco do the little angel cakes and jam tarts and that type of thing but not seen a dairy free cake. My lb is also dairy intolerant. He's 16 months not and tried the milk ladder last week but he was unsettled after have a malted milk biscuit :-/ x
