Just wondered if anyone has any ideas on what I can make for my little man for mealtimes, as I'm rapidly running out of ideas and don't want him to get bored with the same old stuff!

He's predominately BLW, but also has a cows milk protein allergy, so anything with dairy is a no go. I was giving him plain soya yoghurt with different flavours of sauce, but got told by the doc today that it's not recommended to give boys soya products as it has oestrogen in and can affect their fertility later in life...

So, he's been having jam on toast, chicken and cucumber sandwiches, soya yoghurts, soya desserts, strawberries, fish, sweet potatoes, bolognese, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, and that's about it tbh, I need to vary it but cant think as almost everything seems to have dairy of some form!

Still breast feeding too so I can't have dairy either, no bad thing, least I have to leave the chocolate alone :)x

What about curried pasta? Nor sure how old ur Lo is? Are babies allowed fish like tuna? Xx

He's 7 and a half months, and he doesn't like pasta, at least he didn't the other day, not sure about tuna, I've only given him whitefish so far.x

We r trying tuna croquetts today, also have done ratatoui (sorry, can't spell!) with aubergine,, peppers courgettes etc and tomato

tunas fine but other fish is better like tinned salmon and sardines as they are really high in calcium. also dried fruit is really good for extra calcium. shepherds pie, lasagne, fish pies, any sandwiches, sausage and mash.... x

Plus you could also try rice with chilli, curry or even tons to sauce. If you slightly overcome the rice is gets sticky and you can make rice balls for lo to pick up and eat.

Thanks for your ideas, I'll try him with sausage and mash tonight and see how that goes first. We have our appointment through for the nutritionist but not until April, and I was really stuck for what to give him, more for variety and to make sure he's getting everything he needs.x
