I need some ideas to things I can do to have fun. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and found out at 4 weeks and have done nothing since. I'm missing out on rock climbing, trampolining and lots of other good stuff with work and I have to sit and watch so will be bored. Also I have not been out with friends one because they are always busy and two if I don't drink they will know something is up as I love a few glasses/bottles of wine lol. I'm meant to be going to a Halloween party tomorrow and I won't drink so i will drive and my OH is not bothered about fancy dress so we are going as our self's. Don't get me wrong I am so happy to be pregnant but I'm feeling like I'm losing my identity already! OH won't leave my tummy alone which drives me mad. In fact the smallest thing makes me mad. I just want to be able to still go out and have fun. I'm fed up of sitting on sofa in the evening and weekends.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful but is it wrong to still enjoy myself?

How about the cinema? Meals out? We've been out for tea earlier to a place that was 20 miles away. We'd never go if were to get taxis each way so it was lovely to go and me drive. Pamper sessions. Salsa class. art class. sausage making class. There are so many things you can do that don't have to involve alcohol!

Although I was relieved when Tri 1 was over and we started telling people, I quite enjoyed going to social events and pretending to drink to throw people of the scent! I liked that me and oh had this secret between us. We had great fun swapping drinks, filling empty beer bottles up with water and pretending it was beer and making fake glasses of white wine out of just the right amount of apple juice and lemonade at parties. I didn't stop going out or doing stuff, just cut out the alcohol. You can still do some exercise like swimming or going for walks and stuff, still go on dates with your oh. Might have to quit the white water rafting but there's still lots left. Maybe I'm just a bit of a saddo / easily pleased but I haven't felt like I've missed out on much by being pregnant (even though I was definitely no stranger to a glass/bottle of wine before I got pregnant). You have a while to go yet hunni so you just need to get thinking about what you CAN do instead of dwelling on what you CAN'T do. It's early days so you're probably still in a bit of shock adjusting to your bfp! xx

Thanks ladies those are great ideas. I do need to change my attitude and this was planned but I didn't expect it to happen so fast so I think I am still a little shocked and scared of the change. I need to focus on the positives and it will all be worth it. Going for dinner but travelling seems a good idea I tried that last week and husband moaned it was to far.
If we go to the party tomorrow then il defo try those techniques out xx
