I found some stretch marks on the very bottom of my bump a couple of days ago and felt really really upset. I only happened to be drying myself after a bath in front of the mirror, I wasn't even looking for them as I was totally convinced I wouldn't get them (no idea why)...I guess I always associated them with older women, like my mums age. I think I was totally delusional, but it's still a bit shit! Anyone else thought they would get away scot free only to find them? xx

i got some with my first but they did fade tbh ive actually only got the same ones this time round and im prob bigger this time 2 so im not complaining

Try not to get too upset, like Lou_1 said they will fade with time. I didn't get any throughout pregnancy and thought I was safe from them but after baby was born got them slightly on my belly and boobs. I caked on cream throughout but sadly nothing we can really do I guess! x

I thought id managed to get away with it with my son then right at the end in the last few weeks i got loads and my stomach looked like a bloody road map! u can hardly even see them now and so far so good this time around. x

my bum and thighs are covered but still got nothing on my bump at all. xxx

I haven't had any yet... But my mum got loads when she had me and my brother so I'm probably gonna get some at some point.... xx

Ive got them on my bump, they dont look very deep if u get me so fingers crossed they will fade well xxx

All of mine appeared after I had my first , they faded eventually but I was so annoyed as I thought I had escaped . I reckon I'll be covered in them again this time

I've had a few tiny ones on my hips since about 25 weeks but none on my bump so I thought i'd gotten away with it until .... 3 days ago, now they're appearing all over the bottom of my bump and around my very stretched belly button! They're only pink at the moment but i'm sure they'll be purple by the time i'm due! Never mind, i'm sure they'll fade afterwards :) x

I didn't get any with brooke (think I missed them as brooke came before they had time to appear) but I went on the implant after having her and put quite a bit of weight on and I got tiny little ones on my inner thighs and the back of my knees they are hardly noticeable! But I'm convinced I will get them on my stomach, but we will see none so far! X

yep i had exactly the same xperience when i found mine about a week ago!! I wake up and check every morning now and as i get even bigger my skin is really sore :-( Im hoping they wont look too bad when i have a flat tum again but it does depress me to look at them! x

All my stretchmarks are as a result of rapid weight gain in my late teens, I've not gained a single new one - but I guess if I'd been overdue it may have been a close call.................

God I didn't realise they could still appear after you gave birth! How mean is that?! You think you've gotten away with it... Perhaps once our little ones are here we won't even care... X

Me too thought I'd escaped then when I gave birth they appeared on my belly :-( xx

I have them all over my stomach. I was using the Sancturys mum to be stretchmark oil bit it didn't do any good! Smells nice though! Lol! I have 3 marks coming from my belly button piercing that look like the mercedes symbol! :) to be honest, they don't bother me. I won't be flashing my stomach for a while so no-one apart from DH, the midwives and I see them. And they are there because I am carrying a baby that is growing well. That is what's important to me - not my appearance at the moment. It will be different when she isn't dependent on my body for everything but at the moment, my body is her support system - not for my vanity.

Besides, they fade anyway.

Xx
