his dribbling like a champ, chewing on everything in sight (even his dummy, instead of sucking it!) and his gums are hard.
sounds that way doesn't it? also, i've given him a stinking cold. poor little guy.

he's sleeping a lot, and he's really clingy & whiney. can i give him calpol? my friend said use the 2month+ one, and just half the does, but that sounds kind of iffy to me.

Definatly sounds like he is teething! Amber is also teething at the moment, she has been for a while and at first I didn't think it was possible because she was still so young but stranger things have happened!
As for the calpol, we had to give it to Amber when she was only 6 weeks old but that was because the doctor advised us to. Get a medical opinion first hun before you give it to him. Hope he is better soon

i rang my doctor & asked about the calpol, she said it was fine to give him 2.5ml at bedtime, thank god. i hardly got a wink of sleep last night, everytime he fell asleep he woke himself up coughing and he was proper crying in pain poor little thing :(

When I took Molly the drs with a sore throat, he told me to give her 1.5mls of it. He calculated it based on her weight at the time and she was actually 8 weeks so not long off 2 months.

how much did she weigh? zach was 10lb 8oz when he last got weighed about 2 weeks ago! i think he's a bit bigger than molly isn't he?

Yeh, Molly is 10lb 1 but was 9lb 8 when she was prescribed it.

Aww Lola is the same and she also has a cold now! Red eyes and everything! :( My poor baby girlie!

Hiya hun,

Since i read this post i felt Ollies gums and they are also rock hard and theres a jagged bit at the top which does feel like a tooth. That cant be one surely? I asked my mum and she said that sometimes babies are born with teeth! He's definately waking more at night.

I dont really want to give him calpol as he isnt screaming but would the bonjella type stuff you rum on gums work? Will ask the health visitor next week.

Hope Zacks a little better,

Claire x

Hi

I can't believe my LO has two bottom teeth that have just cut through. They feel so sharp, like little razors! I thought it was so early for her but I've heard babies can be born with teeth too. Also my sister's baby got her first tooth when she was 12 weeks old and had started to teeth way before that, so it's definitely possible!
