I was carrying Ryan yesterday and he was resting his head on my shoulder and I said 'Awww are you giving Mummy a cuddle', and then he looked up at me and went 'uddle'... I was like

I tried to get him to say it again but he looked at me like I was daft and he hasn't done it again since. When do they normally start to talk? He hasn't even started doing noises like baba/mama/dada yet so I dunno if yesterday was just me hearing things

Aww don't talk yourself out of it  He may have been copying the word you said, not sure if he would know what it actually meant but I think they do start copying. Not sure when they start to talk tbh, still waiting to get over the screaming stage for me :rotfl:

awww well done Ryan! :cheer:

When Isaac was that age he said random things then never said them again! He once said aeroplane clear as day then wouldn't say it again. He was like :talkhand: I said it once, thats enough

:D

Well I'm trying to teach him to say mama at the minute but he just finds it hilarious and giggles

My neice was copying at that age and very vocal and shes getting o be quite the chatterbox now at nearly 14 months old!

My DH has been trying to teach Alex to say 'hand. All we've been getting from him so far is this really gutteral grunt that sounds like UUUUUUUD
:rotfl:

well mia is trying her hardest to say hiya!!

Its mad, obviously its not a proper word but she is copying the sound and it does sound very much like HIYAA! everyone looks at each other like   when she does it lol :cheer:

aww bles him is possible hun
wen bray was about 9 months old i was having a really hormonal day and sat there crying, wen i picked him up i swear he said love u but wen i told my mum she laughed
im still convinced he said it tho

awww, clever ryan! :cheer: i cant answer tho as i dont kno when they spose 2 start talking. millie's made "mama" noises but she's not saying "mama" as in addressing me! i havent noticed her copying sounds of words, but she does copy laughter and smiles, and waving and "dancing" (bobbing head up and down or moving from side to side  )

I think he said it - like lou said they just copy the noises sometimes then don't say it again so yeah Ryan said Cuddle.

Oran says Hi Ya, Ta (which sometime comes out Da lol but he says it the right times when you give him something), mumma, dadda, yeah, yeah, yeah (all in a row, which he has coppied off me cause I say it to OH all the time when he is moaning on :rotfl: ) and usss...which Im not sure what it is, but I think its Juice as he usually points at his beaker when he says it so I guess anytime from Ryans age now

'Usss'... that's so cute

Maia started to say 'cat' about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was co-incidence but its definately directed at the cat when she sees him! She says it quite reliably now (without the 'T')! Although she does tend to say 'cat' at dogs too!

lol I think its cause me and OH always go ''wheres your juuuiccce'' with a really long uuuu and ssss at the end lol, I don't know why we say it like that, think it was mistake one day then we just both started saying it and now Oran just says the end bit............whoops never mind. Notice today he also says ody which I think is for Doddy (dummy) as he point to it or looks for it when he says it bless.

Ryan will be speaking in no time
