I never post in here - single mum through choice

Most of you know my story - lesbian, planned Emily - had her through sperm donation. I know in the states, it's a big thing and they call it single mums through choice. I'm just posting this really incase at some point another person in my situation stumbles across this.

It's hard work - just like I knew it would be and my 'promised' support network is dimishing fast! It's getting quite lonely but I coping so well, I can't quite believe how much I'm coping. Maybe it's because I love her unconditionally! She's amazing!!!!!

I remember when you first joined the forum honey and I thought you were very brave to take this on yourself by choice but I have to say you have done amazingly and Emily is beautiful xxx

It's very true about promised support networks diminishing though! The novelty wears off for some people and it can become lonely, I can see that and Im married and have a supportive husband to help out! X

It does get a bit lonely being a single parent, but try and join some clubs, it really helps with that!
