Now, I know you are all going to think I am a loony but I am going to ask this anyway!

I was at my sisters this afternoon and was messing about and I said say Mummy and was saying it over and over again, Thomas then said mumma, both my sister and I jumped with shock and couldn't beleive it, then he said it again!! Paul doesn't beleive me and thinks I am crackers, but I definitely heard him say it!

So has anyone else got any experience of this? I seem to remember Ruby saying something quite early on! Was this a fluke? Have I gone mad!! Help!!!!

I think can remember reading about Ruby saying ello or something like that really early on!

Brody started making dadadada noises at about 6 months but that's about it!

I haven't got a clue what age they are supposed to start copying etc I think it's the same as most things - every baby is different! :D

:cheer: Clever Thomas!

thanks jools, glad you don't think I'm deluded!!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Lucky you!

Sam is 7 months, and this morning he said ' nin-ja'

......it's a bit like mummy, right? :rotfl: :rotfl:

D says something that sounds like Maaaaamaa when he starts crying he has said it qutr a few times well done tteej

yeah luke too! when he cries it always sounds like mumma!!

he says dadadadada all the time when he is "chatting" and am sure he says something to the effect of "hungry" and "hiya" :rotfl:

its great just always get the video camera out to catch it and he goes silent!! :wall:

ooh, trix maybe I'm not going mad then, thanks for the link!!

Your baby is adding new sounds to her language repertoire, and her current favourite is probably blowing a raspberry or making bubbles. At this age, it's common for babies to become so enthralled by one of their newfound abilities that they get stuck on it for a w

this was on your link Trix...d so loves those raspberries :rotfl:

That just made me LOL so much nearly pee'd myself :rotfl:

Isaac chats away all the time, I'm sure he says mama but don't think he associates it with me, and ocassionally I think did he just say an actual word, but not sure, like jools said, every baby is different but I certainly believe you missac, go Thomas!! :cheer:

My Ruby??

She was a weird one, we SWORE we heard her say "hey lo" in a telly tubby kinda voice when she was a few months old...

She has been saying "Dadda" from around 5 1/2 months, and is now dadda mad, everything is dadda. At the mo she keeps saying dadda didit, which is hilarious, I keep asking OH what he hs been up to

When she was really poorly last week, I went into her in the night and during her sobs she said "mmmmuuuummmmmmm" so I was chufed but she hasnt said it since!!
And twice now she has said "hi dog", once o our dog, and once at nannys...my dad nearly fell of the sofa!!!!

Once she started crawling, she stopped being so vocal, I think she was concentrating on her crawling skills, but now she is finding her voice again and is always babbling.

Of course your ruby I remember you being so chuffed!!

He has been doing some more mmmmmuuuuuummmmmmaaaa type noises, he doesn't know what he is saying but it is still nice to hear!!

Hi dog is such a cute thing to say!!!!!! and daddadidit it brilliant, I am going to teach thomas to say that one!!
