I do exactly the same thing

"hello wriggle bum, watcha doing in there? Hello babba"....and other insane ramblings lol

its completely normal lol. i do it ( hmm not sure if that makes it normal or not lol) emma sings to my tummy and then she gets a kick in the head to say thank you lol

I do it, especially in the bath and i think its a good thing, since i had my 4d scan baby is so much more a real person to me now so i can actually visualize him when i talk to him and with so many people in my house thinking this baby belongs to them i want hime to know who mummy is before he is born

I do it quite often - we have a bit of bonding last thing at night (well about 9pm when I have admitted defeat and gone to bed!) and in the morning as only me and him are usually awake about 4am. OH talks to him and reads to him as well so that the baby will recognise his voice. They can hear from about 24 weeks I think.

I do it all the time too! And we talk about her like shes already born! I mean really she is here already, just behind a layer of skin!

EXACTLY Lea  I DO IT!! i call her my cheeky cherrub or monster munch sometimes i tell her to be a little more gentle when she kicks my ribs  she has now taken up digging her heel in my side and dragging it back and fourth to my belly button i always tickle her foot and tell her im trying to get on with the dishes ect so if anyones lost the plot its ME :rotfl:

Yep i spoke to Charlie all the way through my pregnancy and didn't care where we were when i was talking to him - we would have discussions about what to buy at the supermarket and everything ;) Have been a little more private this time round but at home am constantly talking to my bump - he knows his daddy's voice cos goes all mushy wriggley when daddy is about and also knows Charlie's voice and my mum's voice and also one of my friend's who is very very glaswegian scottish - he hears her voice and goes mental lol :D

i do it all the time i think its natural :D cant wait to talk to him while looking at him though. :D

I don't so much as talk to my bump as tell it off :rotfl:
Normally along the lines of "will you stay still for five minutes!?"...."move that foot mr!" (usually accompanied by prodded said offending appendage until it's been retracted :rotfl: )....and "oi! get off my nerve!"

Both me and my wife have been talking to LO for ages - I even read Paddington Bear to my wife's tummy the other day!
Slightly odd, I know, but I love it!

I talk to my tummy all the time.......although now I'm usually just shouting 'get out now' to it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Apparently talking to your tummy is all part of the bonding process. Rubbing it and holding it also. Your baby will be able to recognise yours and OH's voice and will calm down and be soothed by the noise. Also talking in "Motherease" is good too... it's that kind of singing voice that you use when you talk to babies... apparently the ups and downs of the pitch in your voice is very similar to Mozart, that's why Mozart is the choice tune for babies in the womb!!!
