... and let my OH buy the xbox 360! I nearly died when he left the shop and showed me the receipt - £289! However he did buy Grand Theft Auto 4 as well as the console so I suppose it could have been worse! I just keep thinking 'I can play it when he is at work'.

Yay! My hubby works for a video games company so has an XBox 360, PS3 and a Wii. We each have a DS, and he has a PSP as well. Only reason we can afford it - he gets discount from work!

You can make a pretty good career out of it if you have the right attitude! Hubby started off testing games (not as fun as it sounds actually, you can't just sit and play them, you have to debug and report) and then moved on to "compliance" which means he has to check everything in the game to make sure it conforms to standard. He adores it though as he's technically-minded and has an eye for detail. Plus he just got accepted for a job in San Francisco (same company, same job, different location) so we're moving there in 2 months!

My PS3 was played on for about 2 hours in the two weeks paternity leave I had

Sadly now it's not on at all as our 5 year old was playing 10-pin boling and threw the controller at the 40" lcd and smashed it

Now just waiting for the insurance company to cough up for a new one

GTA 4 is the best game ever.

I can't believe people blame problems in society on a game lol, I play it but don't go out beating old woman up etc etc.

lol same its greatfun, if you banned thingd like that youd have to go all the way, ban any violent film, godfather through to edward scissor hands !! Also love guitar hero on xbox !!!
