I went out to buy my mum's mother's day pressie, she had asked for an orchid and Asda had had some in but of course there were none there when I got there.
So off we toddled to the garden centre, i asked some nice man where the orchids were and what they looked like
He said there weren't many left and he pointed my in the right direction.

Near to where he pointed was a lovely red orchid thing in a nice pot priced £12.99. I picked it up happily, showed my OH and we agreed it was a nice colour (better than the only other one we could find) and we turned to head for the tills,
I then prodded a leaf, turned to my OH and said 'is it real' he prodded the bottom and said
'only if orchids grow in cardboard'

We'd picked up a fake one. In the end we had no choice but to buy the semi-dead funny coloured one.

But i couldn't stop laughing, i nearly peed myself.
It was just the thought of how my mum would have reacted to a plastic one if i hadn't of noticed. And i am a little ashamed that i didn't really notice the difference.

Probably not that funny to you guys but it certainly made me giggle.
