Morning ladies,

I am 11 weeks and 2 days today and the sickness has become unbearable, I cant eat and now I have gotten upset at work so everyone thinks I am a total whimp!! All the women who already have kids keep making liitle comments about how the sickness wasn't at all bad for them!! :x Is anyone else suffering this badly towards the end of first tri?? Please tell me I am not the only one  .

Rant Over,

Evie x

You are not a wimp!

Pregnancy affects everyone in different ways, no-one has a right to judge you if you're getting upset. I see you're almost 12 weeks, so have probably been feeling sick for a while? Nothing gets you down like feeling unwell over a long period. We can all cope with nausea/tiredness sometimes but after a few weeks it's no wonder you feel upset!

If it's any consolation you'll probably start to feel better soon (no promises though - that's pregnancy!)

Oh, and get used to comments from other women. pretty soon they'll all be telling you how THEY didn't have a MAHOOSIVE bump until they were 8 months gone. They're all fibbing by the way, pregnancy has a way of making you forget stuff!

aww you poor thing

My sickness has only just kicked in so on a good day i feel ok and just vomit :puke: but on a bad day i feel so fatigued, queasy and puking a few times a day so i really can sympathise.

I think the sickness is only supposed to last the first tri, so you haven't got much longer to go.

hang in there chick! xx

 Yep, already have a massive bump too!!! If I hadn't already had my scan I would swear I was having at least 4 babies!!

I would have loved to call in sick today but I just know I would be frowned upon for taking time off for morning sickness, even though I feel worse than any stomach bug I have ever had!!!! :?

awww honey, I know how you feel. Ive been suffering for a good few weeks with it now, Im 12 weeks on Tuesday and keep thinking the sickness is subsiding... but it just comes back even worse.

And to make matters even more uncomfortable, my friend, who works with me, is about 2 months ahead of me in pregnancy and hasn't had ANY symptoms, so can't seem to understand when I feel queezy and tired so often. I get made to feel like a hypochondriac!

Chin up and just eat anything that takes your fancy... apart from bricks/coal.. or any other random crazy thing! hehe!

Hope u feel better soon ladybird.

At the moment its just Coco Pops!! I have tried other cereal varieties but Coco Pops is all I can keep down, so much for my 5 a day!!!!!!!!! :wall:

What about Shreddies? or Ready Brek? I lived on this for the first few weeks after my BFP.

I also can eat, toast and marmite, tomato soup, tomato pasta, sometimes I can stomach a baked potato and cheese?
Also, I am in love with Yeo Valley Natural Yoghurt...

maybe you could find something in there that tickles ur fancy!

xx

And another thought.. pizza?
you could make your own and load it with peppers, tomatoes, onions etc? then you'd be getting some veggies?

xx

I had exactly the same a few weeks ago, felt so ill and rubbish just burst into tears and my boss didn't know what to do with himself :rotfl:

Just ignore the silly mares that are trying to make you feel bad, You know how you feel not them and they need to learn to button it!

I could only eat bread and philledelphia and slowly I have managed to start eating properly again, it is different for all of us. I made a lasagne last night, really enjoyed it and then about an hour later it wanted to come back up so it really is just a matter of waiting and and doing things at your own pace

I haven't tried shreddies but ready brek (or anything porridge like) I find really hard to swallow without gagging! I am finding that things have to be mainly liquid for me to swallow!! I have tried endless varieties of soup, and my o/h even home made me some veg soup but the smell of them puts me off before I start eating.
Cheese and anything tomato based are a definate no-no and baked potatoes just smell wierd!!!! (even writing this is making me worse!!)
Oh my, I sound like such a picky brat, I am even getting on my own nerves

Maybe I am beyond help!!!

They tell you in "the books" not to eat soft or blue veined cheeses but this is to do with the ripening process, cream cheese is fine because it is completely pasturised - I checked!!

thank you. You have made my day.. I was being far too over cautious!!

I don't think you can be over cautious, although I did refrain from eating supermarket chocolate mouses for ages because I had heard that chocolate mouse contained raw egg, but that is just home made or resturant ones, the supermarket ones have a setting agent instead which is fine (apparently)!!!
