I feel really low (sorry it's long!)

Oliver has had a rotten cold since last Thursday and I'm now feeling drained. He hasn't been sleeping great at night and just when I thought we had turned a corner today has been worse than ever! He was miserable when he woke up this morning so I gave him his breakfast and then an hour later he was still moaning so I put him back to bed and he slept for 2 hours! I thought he would then wake up in a good mood but he didn't! I tried to give him his lunch but he wasn't interested so put him back to bed after about half an hour and he went straight off! Do you think it's normal for him to be so sleepy? I miss my happy little boy and want him back soon

Hun i think as they get older from all the exercise they get they will sleep alot, maybe he is waking up grumpy because he is over slept, i know myself sometimes if i sleep too long i wake up in a foul mood (maybe just me lol) maybe gently wake him after an hour and let him have more frequent naps, and you are under strict instrutions to sod the housework cooking and washing, to sleep as much as you can and to get early nights once oliver is in bed, he will pick up on your exhaustion and it could be making him fretfull poor little chap. When alfie wasnt too well last week he couldnt keep any solids/milk down only juice so i got some glucose and put half a tea spoon in his juice so he was still getting nuritment (sp) has Oliver got any teeth yet darll? i hope he gets better soon and you can have beter nights its so much harder after they start sleeping through and they start waking again isnt it. sorry for long reply lol thats for you and little legs

Thanks Steph Since he woke up at 3.30 he's been happy and playing so maybe he just needed sleep earlier on He's just taken 5oz of milk so that's good - am going to give him some fruit in a bit. He has 5 teeth now Two at the bottom came through about 2 months ago and he has just got 3 at the top - they were all coming through at the same time so think that's why he has this stinking cold You're right, it's so hard when you get used to having a full nights sleep and then it all goes horribly wrong. Here's to a good nights sleep tonight
