Ok Great news
Colliers happy healthy strong heatbeat measuring 40cm fundal at 39+4 weeks
Urine fine
Blood presure fine

so i should be content with that
im not going to apologise for being upset :shakehead: and no funny little jokes to to sugar coat it either

Bad news after 2 full night and days of feeling him push and bare down and of intense period pains he is still only 2/5 engaged like last weeks he hasnt moved an inch so not loking like he's coming this weekend :(

also hes turned around and is facing more back to back

Im now petrified of back to back labour

ive been offered a sweep on Saturday and i always swore id never have one unless i was well over due
but im thinking of saying no though a huge part of me wants one if hes still facing towards my back the last thing i want to do is make him come out in that position id rather go over due and pray  he turns then come on time and risk a more painful birth and the chance of needing the forceps or vontuse.

Im scared now and i want my Mam here more then ever but now its less likely

i know i can not make him come when i want and i am happy he's healthy  but i cant help but be upset about the fact he isnt moving out like i thought he was.
SYMPTOMS WAS A LOAD OF C***

  sorry to hear that your LO is in an awkward position. I'm not sure if this is applicable but I was reading about posterior position the other day (if that's the same as back to back) and there were some good tips on the link below for helping the baby move to the front naturally that you can do yourself.

sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick.

It is understandable that you just want to meet him now! You have every right to be upset!

I feel awful, I am dying to get this pregnancy over with and I still have 9 weeks left. I can't imagine how being overdue must feel like.

It will all be worth it in the end!

Awwww i'm sorry Sarah... he's not behaving himself is he! You never know it's only wed maybe he'll turn back. Take it your going to be checked on sat then? maybe decide on sweep then after seeing what postion he's in. All fours is a good postion to get baby to turn     xxxx

Some babies engage late so he might still pop out soon! And i'm sure he'll move off of your back :) he is just being a cheeky monkey! Go for the sweep! It's got to be worth a try!!

Just keep your chin up and remember how good it'll feel when labour is over and done with and you have your gorgeous son and your brand new house and your lovely OH xxxxxxxxxx

  im feeling like absoloute poo today aswell!
feel like i'm not getting nowhere
at least i know i'm not on my own, i know i should be really excited about meeting baby but it just drains all the energy out of you doesn't it :(
anyways, hope you feel alot better soon

xxxxxx

awww hunni!!!!

try not to get upset, like suzi said some babies dont engage til the last minute, collier is a male and you know how they leave things til last minute so he may still arrive soon

try ur birthing ball, getting on to all 4's etc and he may well move round, we all know what a cheeky monkey you have so he may well move and probably just wants to play with mummy

like the others have said, ur mum is coming the wk end, james is there, its bank holiday, u will soon have your own lovely home and a beautiful baby, i know its not easy but try to stay positive and relax x x x x x

Hi hun,

Sorry to hear this.. im not sure if you have one or you can get hold of one but a birthing ball is supposed to help (you can get them exercise balls from Argos do the same job) my son was lying back to to back so I know exactly how you feel :( and i did deliver him back to back with vontose.

My son was a whopper at 9lb 4oz length 20.5" but im a diddy 5ft 1" and hubby stands 6ft 6", not sure if a baby lying back to back is more of a size issue.. never thought to ask. Just thought as seeing your pic I gather that James he looks a tall chap in comparison to you.. god that sounds so rude :(

Please try not to worry hun there is a good chance that Collier will turn

Take care
Kathy xx

If you want to chat you know where I am :)

Awww...sorry it didn't go as well as you expected.

I don't think the fact that he isn't more engaged means he won't come anytime soon..everyone keeps saying they can enage fully last minute-that what i'm hoping anyway cos at my last appointment my LO wasn't enaged at all!!!! :(

I know it must be frustrating tho cos when you're going through all the pain you think it's getting you somewhere.

Not long to go now tho hun-about 2 weeks at the most and I bet he comes before that!!

I'd go for the sweep..at least they are offering it at a reasonable time, it seams like some ladies don't get them until they're at least a week overdue.

Hope you feel better soon.

Awww hun  for you.
I know exactly how you feel, my little monkey isn't playing the game either! I've had days where i feel so low and believe he's never coming out. After a good 10 days of increasingly painful contractions and awful pressure/pinchey pains little Sam still isn't engaged  (and even after all that's happened all is stopped again)
I think we must just have such lovely comfy tummies that they want to stay in them just a little while longer :D
As for the position if he's not too far engaged it will be so easy for him to turn a bit so get on those hands and knees lady!
I'm willing to bet money we'll be holding our babies by Sunday

thanks everyone

yes i have a ball and yes ive been doing the on all fours thing for a long time as collier spent a lot of time on my back in the past.
20 minute on the ball my back hurt more then when i started it actually didnt hurt so much when i stopped bouncing

yes im quite short dont know if its got anything to do with it

im indulging in feeling sorry for myself for a while
as the offer we made on a house was rejected
I'll be more upbeat soon im sure

I'm sure you will xx indulge all you want have some choccy watch a sad film it always works fof me  hope you feeling better soon xx

yep go and raid the fridge for junk food - always helps :D

Try not to be too upset Sarah, some babies dont engage until actual labour, look at Tilly her lil man kept engaging then popping back out with all the fluid and she was only a few days over her due date.

I understand your concerns about him being back to back, my friends baby turned back to back during labour and she said that it meant she was pushing for a lot longer than normal approx 1 & half hours. I hope he turns again for you.

RIGHT POSITIVE

Collier is happy healthy stong and wiggily 8) 8) :cheer:
im healthy and can take on the world for my Son so
Back pain in labour :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: i can take it :shakehead:

Being over due so be it im ok with it, as long as Collier is safe and happy. Then he can stay in a bit longer ive decided to turn down the sweep. if i get further in and in terrible pain i may change my mind. But for now i am content that Colliers ok and so am i. :D

Ive also excepted it very unlikely that he will arrive when i wanted him too so my Mam could be here with me in the labour room. But she will make her way down like a bat out of hell to be there as soon as she can so that is all i need

SO BIG UP THE POSITVES    :D

Glad you are feeling a bit better today!!
I'm sure Collier won't be long, but like you said at least he is happy and healthy!! .....and that's the most important thing :D

   Dont worry hun, i had a back to back labour and yes it bloody hurt, but I still enjoyed it and looking back it was the most amazing experience of my life.
Just focus on holding collier, he'll be here soon and you won't have to worry about labour anymore

WOOHOO FOR EVERYONE BEING POSOTIVE!!

maybe we'll see some babies now. after all, they wouldn't want to come out to be greeted with grumpy mummies :rotfl:
