i dont know what to do :'( lil update (feeling bit better)

I don't have any advice because I've never Breastfed but I didn't want to read and run. Your doing a brilliant job hun, don't give up.

I think your doc sounds like a total idiot, I'd be tempted to write a strongly worded letter to his superior. Health professionals are supposed to be 100% supportive of anyone who wants to b/feed and it sounds like he is not following this guidance.

I had periods while b/feeding (admittedly not til 7 months, but I know people who b/fed who got their periods back much earlier). For pain, the only thing you can really safely take is paracetemol, but I'd recommend a hot bath (may also help your milk supply) and a hot water bottle and some rest, if you can.

Good luck - it definitely doesn't sound like you don't want to continue - you'll be 100% stronger for coming through this, I promise.

lil Update..

My boobies are feeling SOOO much better already, my right nipple is almost pain free, left nipple has crack which keeps opening, but sure will heal, got stabbing shooting pains in boobs still and bit of fever, but i can deal with that, it was the nipple pain which got me..

xxx

Its so nice to hear new bf mums say things like that i know how hard it is to get through it.

Sounds like your doing fine and on the road to recovery.

Well done :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

glad you're getting there...re the doc sounds like your a-typical male doctor, useless with almost everything to do with women or children.

rather than writing a letter of complaint, why not speak to the bfeeding councillor and suggest someone talks to him. Educating him would probably make him more pro bfing than getting him a bollocking!

Still keep an eye on yourself and the lump, congrats for keeping up the feeding!
