Hi Ladies,

I'm currently 6.3 weeks pregnant with my first baby, I had a missed miscarriage 6 months ago where the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks but I didn't start to bleed until I was 9 weeks.

Anyhow, I have had really strong headaches since I found out I was PG a couple of weeks ago and I get a bit dizzy sometimes. I am still getting these symptoms as I type.

What's worrying me is that my boobs are only sore at nights and only look slightly bigger (I way expected more, am so disappointed).
My stomach was bloated last week but this week nothing, no growing pains, no constipation, no sickness naf all.

I have my first midwife appointment on the 21st June and I have booked a private scan on the 23rd June for reaasurance I'll be 9 weeks and if I can get past that point and see the heartbeat I'll be over the moon.
The hospital won't let me have a scan until 12-14 weeks. I've already asked.

Has anyone else had hardly any symptoms???

I haven't told my folks yet as I don't want them to get too excited just in case...but I'm already thinking of names.

Please reassure me.

Hiya Charm

I know it's so hard not too worry, especially after having a previous miscarriage- But there are lost of women who have little or no pregnancy symptoms for a long time after their pregnancy has been confirmed.
I had little pregnancy symptoms thoughout the first and second Trimesters...Infact the first real symptom I had as well as being constantly tired was the appearance of a bump!

Hi Charm, I was exactly the same as you. I was so worried I had hardly any symptons and then bang full on sickness into the 2nd trimester (I hope you don't get this) As soon as the sickness went the paranoia came back! All is fine with me and I am sure it will be with you too. remember some people don't even realise they are pregnant at the stage you are at now.

Also the headaches and dizziness are definitely due to the pregnancy hormones so don't even worry! Make sure you drink lots and eat good food. the first trimester is always worrying and seems to drag but before you know it you will be in the 2nd tri and the time flies and all the exciting things happen!

Sorry to hear about your loss before, I can't believe they wont scan you and you are going to have to pay for a private scan! Can you not say that you are really stressed and you know it can't be good for you or the baby so please give you a quick scan just to put your mind at rest?

Have a lovely, healthy pregnancy :)

Don't panic! Had hardly any symptoms other than headaches until the second trimester, had morning sickness week 13-18 horrendous, didn't get bump till week twenty five and only right boob has grown (I'm a freak!) now coming upto week 32 and don't see how I could possibly feel any MORE pregnant (left boob still smaller though!!!) - God I regret those days worrying and wishing for pregnancy symptoms!!!! I had previous miscarriage and Wilts NHS let me have early scan at eight weeks (scan is very disappointing that early on, just looks like a tiny fried egg!) to check not eptopic, try your doctor again, I was so emotional and scared that they let me have the scan to reassure me and calm me down as the stress of it all gave me high blood pressure and I couldn't stop crying! Push for it if you want it, that's what we pay tax for!!!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy hunny and try and stay calm, its easy for me to say, but I have been through the same thing, this site is fab for calming you down and also for having a good rant whenever you feel like it!

I can totally understand how you are feeling, and although I'm also trying not to worry, it's hard not to, isn't it? I feel tired and my boobs hurt at the sides and top, but apart from that, I've had no other symptoms.
When I m/c at 8 1/2 weeks, I had the same symptoms and then they disappeared. I just want more symptoms this time to reassure me that this one will be different. It's such a hard time, isn't it? The wait is so hard.

Take care
xxxx

I hardly have any symptoms at all, had sore boobies at first, and they were huge for me but they have calmed down...I get really tired at end of the day but othr than that I feel normal
I was lucky and had scan @ 8 weeks 2 days so know everything is ok but it still worries me as I dont have any symptoms...It sounds so daft saying it friends and family coz they just keep telling me I should think myself lucky and stop moaning!!!
I would try and push for an earlier scan?
Good luck, try and relax, we are all with you

Thanks for all of the replies it's really helpful to know that others have been through the same as you or have the same fears as you.
This website has kept me sane over the last couple of weeks and hopefully for the next 33weeks to come. :D

I feel a lot better and I can't wait for these first 12 weeks to be over and then I feel I can relax and enjoy my pregnancy.
I could ask the midwife for an early scan but I don't think I'd get one.
I did ring the EPU up and said I wasn't sure of my dates but they said just speak to my doctor (who's useless).
So I'm quite happy to go for a private scan it's only £85 and you get to see the heartbeat and take 4 pictures away with you.
They will also film the baby and heartbeat onto a DVD if you want for a little extra so I think I'll go for that.
And then I should get an NHS scan as well at about 12-14 weeks and 20 weeks.

At the minute I'm so excited I could burst but I'm also scared stiff that something will go wrong!

Anyhow I've just got to take one day at a time and keep my fingers crossed.
