I <3 my midwife

I had a study day where she is so when it was over I went down to try and change my appointment for the beginning of March, and got seen there and then and got to hear the HB, I know I have been getting it, but it was so good her getting it too

am booked in to see her in 4 weeks time, but seems that I can pop in when I want/need which is so reassuring

I was then walking out and spotted a good friend that I trained with and works on the same unit as me going in for her scan... our hand held notes may as well be neon pink as u can tell them a mile off, am waiting for her to let me know how it went but she will be around 2 weeks behind me (ish) I am so chuffed for her...
we were on nights last night and had a coffee together, and were catching up, I asked about wedding plans as her and OH have been engaged for years, certainly as long as I have known... almost asked about babies and then stopped myself as I didn't want to become the person that just talks about babies

oh and the midwifes advice re sleeping was to send DH to the spare room

, but was impressed that I looked better than last time I saw her

you dont hear good stories about midwifes often enough, good for you! Take her up on the offer whenever you need it. Im off to see the midwife this afternoon and Im gonna ask for her to listent o heartbeat, I havent heard it yet!

Really pleased you got to hear HB, it's so reassuring isn't it before you feel the movements.

aww glad uv got a good midwife! i meet mine today and im worried as all the midwifes at hospital are really really nice just hope the comunity one is too x

if she managed to get mine at 13+4 u ladies at 16 weeks should be in for good chance...

i thought they could hear heartbest from 12weeks, i heard babys heartbeat at the scan but yesterday at midwife she said in 4weeks when i go back she will then check babys heartbeat as its too early and they wont find heartbeat yet?! confused x

the scans do pick up to be able to listen at 12 weeks,
I think the mw are usually cautious about trying the dopplers before 16 weeks as they cannot always get a hb and that then causes panic...
