hysteroscopy anyone?

Hi fertility warriors - that sounds so lame!! I am up to have a hysteroscopy next month and just wondered if anyone has had it done and if so what to expect.

I had a quick read and it kind of sounds like a smear test, but with anesthetic and something goes into your cervix.

You will either have local (numbed cervix and awake) or general (you're asleep) and if you have a general then you'll have to fast and not drink on the day of the operation at all.

It takes about 10 mins and you are in and out on the same day.

Afterwards there may be bleeding or cramping but nothing too serious
