Is anyone else out there suffering from HG? I'm finding it a real struggle at the moment. My husband has been off work looking after me but he's off overseas next week for 2 weeks and I don't know how I'm going to cope.

I suffered the sickness side for quite a time. Had subsided by about 16 weeks though so fingers crossed you'll be the same.

Hiya, I didn't but my sister has suffered from hyperemesis in all of her pregnancies which has meant she has been hospitalised for 6 weeks at minimum and fed intravenously.

There is a good website dedicated to UK hyperemesis sufferers (although she lvies in Germany she used it quite a bit for advice).

http://www.hyperemesis.org.uk/

She started feeling better after around the 14th week.

Good luck and hope it doesn't last too long

Hi,

First of all big  I really sympathise as I had it with my first pg & its the worst thing & completly controls your life.
Although the doc also signed me off with it this one it was no where near as bad.
I had it bad from 6week - 20 weeks from which I was in hospital a total of 5 times & fed by drip, after 20weeks it got a little better & was able to control it with tablets - lots of them! I had the condition through the whole pg I hate to say & spent most of my labour puking but the further on i went the more good days i had.
This time around I count myslef sooo lucky, I started feeling better by 14/15 weeks and didnt have any hosp trips. I still get nauesa a bit but generally felt much better by 19weeks.
If you ever need any advice on just pm me

x

I am currently trying to set up a support network for hyperemesis sufferers in Scotland. Would you be interested in helping? (Clydesdaleclopper, I notice you live in Scotland somewhere...)
