Hi All,

16 weeks and 2 days!!! my due date has changed 4 times :(

But its now official I'm 16 weeks after my scan last week.

Has anyone else had or got Hyperemesis??

I've suffered really bad from around 6 weeks :(

I have been in hospital on a drip 5 times!!! I really though once i reach 16 weeks it would end?

I have tried every tactic under the sun - dry toast, biscuit, flat lemonade, ginger drinks etc etc.... but still I am sick after every meal.

It is very draining and I'm constantly worried about my baby's health

Would love to hear about anyone else's stories?

Thanks:)

Lucy

blimey that sounds horrendous, I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I do hope it eases soon!

hey, welcome to the forum and so sorry your going threw this.

I had this really bad and ended up on a drip too due to dehydration.
The only thing that worked for me was ginger biscuits and instead
of eating 2 or 3 big meals a day try and have 5 or 6 small meals that
lay abit lighter on your tummy hun.

I know its awful and everyone says the same but it will pass :)

Im sure bubs is fine so dont worry

xx

i was sick from 6 weeks - 5 months with first bubs, with 2nd i was sick from 14 wees when i found out i was preg right till the day i had him. this time i have been really lucy and only been sick twice.

anything i tried never seemed to work didn t matter what i ate i was always sick

hope you feel a bit better soon ive only just stopped being sick, im 25 weeks, it does feel like it will never end, its awful, luckily though ive not been as bad as you, i got away without having to go on a drip, i just made sure i ate and drank even though i knew it would come straight back up, at least then a little bit stays in your system xxxx

oh hope your feeling better soon, my mum had this when pregnant with me and sister/brother.
Great sign of strong pregnancy!!

I may be completely wrong, but both my sister and I got less sick , but found that when we were sick for 20 weeks solid, meant we were having boys, and sick for up to 15 weeks, we had girls!

Be interesting to know what your having!

Look after yourself X

Gosh that sounds awful! Has your GP not prescribed you anti sickness drugs?? There was a girl on another forum who had the same condition and she was on the same anti sickness drugs that they give chemotherepy patients. I wore travel sickness bands on my wrists that helped with the general nausea feeling, really sour sweets helped too. You know like the sour cola bottles and things. Hope it passes soon
xx

WOW!! Thank you for all the information guys!!

Really helpful... :)

I get really bad evening sickness at the moment - all the food comes up from that day!

I brought some maternity trousers yesterday & was shocked that size 10 was too big!!! Had to get size 8! hahaha i wasnt even a size 8 before being pregnant!! Hilarious laughing to myself in the changing rooms!!

I have an appointment Tues with the Drs about being signed off work with stress - (long term) untill the baby is born

Does anyone have any advice or can tell me what the Dr will ask?

Thanks
