Can Hydrocele give boys sore testicles sensitve to the touch?

Oran had hydrocele at birth and about 9 months it 'kinda' went, it went down ALOT and just left him with baggy skin (when warm lol) which were hoping the testicles will grow in to. When he is ''cold'' the testicle skin shrinks to an almost acorn and feels a little hard and rubber (figured just cause so much skin has shrunk so small) at the top of the testicles it swells out which im certain is still the remainder of the hydrocele. Past 2 weeks they have been a little discoloured, little pinky (I thought he might have banged them) and he cried when you touched them (he wasnt crying just for a nappy change as I would get him happy and laughing and then touch them while still making him laugh and he would stop instantly and cry) and now today he has started also flinching a tiny bit when I touch them.

No wonder he hates getting his bum changed?

Any ideas?

Im ringing the dr tom to book an apointment but dont know when ill get in, any ideas in the mean time?

booked in to DRs tom T 9AM

Thanks hun

Apparently it ''might'' be a hernia on its way but they were doubtfull and think he has probably just banged them while playing  (TBF he does bounce around on his motorbike and rocking toys like nobodys business) said if still like it in a week to go back to get refered to the hospital.

Did say Hydrocele still there and if still there in 10 months will need to operate - hope its gone by then!

oooh! hope it's not a hernia.

Just to say that Asher's testicles do exactly the same thing when cold/hot etc. So, I think that's absolutely normal.

Poor baby :( . Hope he is feeling better soon and it isn't anything serious... Its always best to get these things checked out. My boy also has 'baggy' or 'acorn' like testes depending on if he's warm or cold so I'm also guessing that is normal. Hope everything settles down for him soon...

Thanks Girls

Yeah I know its normal for the acorn and baggy bits to an extent but his baggy ones are REALLY baggy especially on the left side as the Hydrocele swelling was so big (more so on the left) and at a big size for so long its actually stretched the skin. It looks difformed cause there different sizes as well

Hopefully it will even out over time. Don't really know how these things work, but maybe the skin on the smaller side will grow as it needs to and 'catch up' with the stretched side? It's got so much growing to do between now and him becoming a big boy. These things make us unique and special... xxx
