poor marley,

i don't know whats wrong. he has been really cranky for about 2 days & i just thought it was due to teething! anyway, lastnight i gave him a feed at midnight and he only took about 3oz which is strange, as i was changing him i noticed that his willy was really red and almost looked blistered. i cleaned it with water and cotton wool, and he was sparked out until 6am. this morning at 6am when he had his feed it was even redder, and his nappy was completely DRY. which usually it weighs about a stone with wee a his 6am feed!!! all day ive been inspecting it and its really dry and flaky and looks sooo sore, he squirms a bit when i touch it too!!! i told my mum & she said to keep an eye on how much he wees during the day but all his nappy changes have been wet, it's just his willy that looks awful.... =(

anyone any ideas? i think im gunna try to take him to the doctors tomorrow.

Aw poor little mite! I have no ideas I'm afraid. Maybe a urine infection? If Seb's willy ever starts looking red I use organic lavender and chammomile salve to prevent nappy rash x hope he's ok x

ooo i hope its not an infection =( im deffo gunna get him checked, and i'll try and get some of that cream too!! it looks red raw!!!! =(

Bepanthen is the other thing I use for nappy rash x

Zac has had a sore willy a few times, but not as bad as marleys sounds, poor little boy! I make sure I dry him at every nappy change and use either sudocream or bepanthan and it clears up xxx

he's had nappy rash before really bad and it cleared up fine, it was never on his willy! his bum is lovely & peachy and no rash whatsoever, its just red there, i thought he had a bit of puss too (TMI SORRY) but OH pointed out it was just where i had put the cream!!! hopefully tomorrow it will be better, fingers crossed.

awww bless him could the nappie not be irrating him have you tried any different ones amy was having bad nappy rash with pampers so changed her to huggies. have you tried leaving his nappy off for about an hour while hes a sleep

Aw hope he's okay Hun . My lo's was a bit red hen he was gouged but it cleared up with just a bit of sudocrem.
Lol the pus/cream made me laugh.
Yeah maybe try pharmacy and see what they say. If they can't think of anyone I'd take him doc.
Like Soneone else mentioned, maybe the nappies? My daughter became allergic to huggies at about 2 moths old and had to go to pampers? X

Tho thinking about it that would affect the whole area surely? X

If there is any puss or anything id take him docs they might say its the nappy or if hes having dry nappys poss infection maybe. hope you find what is wrong :( x

thanks for the advice ladies. it seems better today but i called the doctors to try and get an appt and they couldnt fit me in!!! GRRR. will be going tomoro! he doesnt seem as growchy either so maybe it was just abit irritated.

i used sudocreme and put a it of baby powder on top for Jack's nappy rash and it worked great as it prevented the cream rubbing off when his nappy was put back on but I'd consider taking ur lo to the h/v just to be on the safe side.Hope he gets better soon
