hungry baby who won't feed?

So my lo is lying in his cot right now frantically chewing on his dummy, sleepy as anything but won't sleep..if I try to feed him he turns his head away and start straining and doing little crys (exactly the same as when he needs to pass wind) and refuses to feed. He hasn't had a proper feed for at least an hour (and even then he only feeds for 5 minutes) and I'm sure he's hungry because everytime his dummy falls out he cries and chews his hands and he only does this when he's hungry. Normally he won't even take a dummy and spits it out! I've been trying to get hiim to settle for an hour now and after what seems like the millionth dummy reinsertion I'm at my wits end! Its like he's on a growth spurt...but won't feed and will only take a dummy? Also he's started feeding for less time ( like I said never more than 5 mins) but seems to have enough dirty nappies and that... I'm just confused as to why he's straining and crying when I try to feed him aswell! Normally if he's not hungry he'll just look at my like I'm crazy and not latch on!
Since I've been writing this I've got out of bed twice to put his dummy back in! I'm so confused... Don't help that I've got a killer headache...oh is abroad and I reaalllyyy want to sleep right now

How old is he? Mines been doing same past few nights he's 14 weeks

My lo is 10 weeks... I'm sure he's teething! It makes sense now I think about it! X

My LO acts like that when she has tummy ache.

Sometimes the milk can come out too fast which causes them to pull off and cry I know myself I have a fast let down and my lo has almost choked at times which obv upsets her and puts her off latching. I just express a bit off to get her going but lately she has started taking small amounts from the nipple before latching properly and it's seems to work for her.
