Ok so i've read that a baby of Sam's size (about 12lb) is "physiologically" cabable of sleeping through the night without a feed, as long as they are getting their neccessary daily intake of milk through the day. Problem is, I just can't get Sam to take more than about 3-3 1/2 oz at a time through the day and he feeds around every 3 hours so he's on average getting about 25-28 ish oz in 24 hours but that includes a dream feed and one or two night feeds. Am worried as i think they're meant to have 2.5-3oz per lb of weight per day and he's not getting it. Also how do i get him to take more during the day and not at night (he tends to drink alot more during his night feed/s
) Should i cut down the amount at night feeds so he's hungrier during the day? Just concerned if that would reduce his intake further. He's on C&G comfort and i was wondering if it's because this is thicker he's not taking so much so i tried to swap to normal C&G last week and he just puked/posseted all day! So back to comfort...
