How to breastfeed with milk issues :(

Hes been on the 75th centile for 10wks gained a lb every 2wks but now only 5oz in 2wks since block feedin xx

I stopped weighing.my son for the opposite reason - they were telling me he is too.fat. BUT....wait for it....refused measuring his length

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

They refused to do my dd length too for ages but as she was under weight were filling forms out to send her to hospital so they could monitor our feeds!! I said do her length first and kicked up then when they did they realised they couldn't send me as she was perfectly aligned for height x

75th is really good mine have always been 2nd and 9th :) I don't know what to suggest is it or could it be your diet? Xxx

I know, thats why im gutted its dropped to the 50th from block feeding, wish it was my diet i eat like a horse xx

If feeding for just 10 minutes then that's no surprise he's having green poos. When I had this problem I was encouraged to leave dd for 5 minutes then offer same breast again. Usually it worked. They say you need to feed for 20 minutes to know they have had the hindmilk.

As for weighing...my daughter was weighed twice when the hv came over. And after that when it was up to me to get her weighed I didn't bother. I could see she was putting weight on and moving up clothes sizes. That was good enough for me.

He pulls off when ready, and if i offer the other breast or give him more he just pukes everywhere xx

Edited because I think I was talking a load of poo not relevant to this situation xxx

Ok, that's fair enough. I found my daughter projectile vomited when I offered more. I would try somewhere in the middle then, try switching breast every two or three feeds rather than night and day and see how that goes for a week or two.

I don't want to say give in, as I know I would have regretted it big time. Forget all the breast is best stuff, it's the convenience of it and the bond you get that I loved. Think about the reasons why you are breastfeeding and then only you make that decision.

If he has wind issues that its self can cause green poo. Have you tried something like Infacol or gripe water??
