How soon did thrush go after birth??

I have suffered horrendous thrush throughout. Am due a section in 3 days. Had my last pessary a week or so ago and things have built back up again. Last time i used pessary about half hr after i put it in i was up for around an hour with severe braxton hicks, period pains, loose boweland feeling sick.....could be a coinsidence but im sure it was due to putting that in. Im too scared to use another one this close to delivery but i feel like scratching my bits off and its so sore and dischargy. I know ill have antibiotics after birth which could give me thrush so the thought of it not going is unbearable! Anyone got rid of theirs quickly after baby out?!?! Please tell me something positive?

Can't you just use a bit of cream for it? I had it prescribed by doctors and got it free of charge, it doesn't have to be used inside. There's also tablets you can take which again are prescribed but perhaps could be prescribed for after the birth. You will have a bleed which will also hopefully help "cleanse" it out from the inside once you've given birth. The anti biotics might make it come back but am sure one more treatment after that's all fe inished and you'll be good. More than cleaning it with water only completely avoiding soap in the area, wearing cotton and loose clothing there's not too much more you can do. Am sure you'll be fine. See your GP if it gets too much x
