can anyone help im at the end of my tether and i don't want to go back to the drs if i can help it. throughout this pregnancy i have had recurrent thrush and at the moment it is so bad, i am on antibiotics for a chest infection so i kno thats why its so bad. i have done a pessary and i put cream on seems like a million times a day, my "lady garden" is red raw from scratching and im in so much discomfort i just want to cry, it makes you feel so down.

can anyone give me any tips or help me?

im off out to get some natural yoghurt later to eat and sit in if im honest i'll try anything

Aww I can really sympathise, it's the most horrible thing, I just sat and cried when I had it

Stupidly enough, I didn't know about thrush when I got it, and for about 4 days I survived with just putting flannel on it, cold water but I'd get most of it out by wringing it. That helped to soothe it.

What about ringing NHS direct, if you don't want to go back to your GP, I'm sure they'd have some advice?

The yoghurt would probably help, be a lovely feeling when it's nice and cold out the fridge! :)

Hope it clears up soon hun, it's the worst thing

thanks for the reply hun having the yoghurt for breakfast dinner and tea hope to notice an improvement soon x

eep, i cant imagine how tricky it is with the antibiotics

cream usually sorts it for me- also have showers not baths, and dont use soap- but keep it clean- i use u kno them exfoliating gloves in the shower to (omg this is gonna sound so ming) scrape between the folds (omg sorry!) :puke: and even waggle a scratchy-gloved finger just inside to clean properly :D

also NO sugar for you! and no caffiene!

and finally, try airing it as much as possible. wear a skirt with no knickers for as long as poss air is good for it. if u must wear pants, wear clean COTTON pants nothing synthetic. HTH  x

I would put some yogusrt straight on the 'area'. Are you using different washing stuff?

its still quite bad finished the antibiotics yesterday and i have been cleaning the area just with luke warm water no soap. i'll give it til friday and then might have to return to drs although its not as bad as it was so heres hoping it gets better each day.

don't know what i'd do without this forum sometimes
