How overdue were you?

Hi mummies

I'm 3 days past my EDD now.... each day is feeling like a week! I really want to meet my baby and he really needs to come out as there is no room left inside me for him!

How many days overdue were you? Just curious, hope you don't mind me asking

I was exactly a week overdue with my son. Was due to go in and discuss a sweep and induction on the monday but had him the day before on Sunday, exactly a week after his due date. So relieved I didn't have to go down the induction route!! Hoping this one is the same if not sooner! Just keep trying everything you can do to bring on labour, and I wish you best of luck with it, you are so close!

I had a sweep at term+9 and he arrived the evening of t+10. My induction was booked for t+12 so thank god I avoided that.

my first was 9 days late and my 4th was 11 days late

My 2nd was induced at 11 days over and I was never offered a sweep.
With my 3rd I had a sweep at 3 days over and he was born at 5 days over.

I was induced T+7 and had her T+9

Austin was exactly a week late too, I was so fed up by the time he was born! I remember being really really grumpy the day before. Well worth the wait though

My MW hadn't even discussed induction, I was due to have a check up on the day he was born but he arrived first!

So many women go over their due date don't they?! I've got a sweep booked next Wednesday when i'll be 7 days overdue but i'm secretly hoping that I wont need it!

What is a sweep like? Is it painful?

Oh the unknown is so scary!!!

i went 15 days overdue
sweeps are not too bad, they are just uncomfortable and i heard it all depends on what position your cervix is in at the time, cause if it is diificult to get too it could be a bit painful when they try and get to it.

I was 9 days over - I went into labour in the early morning of 41+2 and she arrived at 9.03am.

I had a sweep at 4 days over and another at 7 days over, I think, as well as possibly a kindof one during labour when they were checking the dilation of my cervix. A sweep isn't sore, but it is uncomfortable - it reminded me of a smear test without the metal!

10 days But luckily no induction

I'm just out of the hospital today and the wait was worth every second

however, my original EDD from my LMP was 31st may, and i kinda hoped that would be my date after all, so i felt like i was 10 days overdue

Hi I was induced at 12 days overdue and gave birth when I was 13 days overdue.

I went into labour at 40+4 and my little girl was born at 40+6. I really thought it was never going to happen! So glad I didn't need to be induced. However, my labour was so slow and long as things weren't progressing I may as well have been induced as I had to go on a drip and have my waters broken to increase the strength of my contractions!

Hi there! I'm now two days overdue and I know exactly how you are feeling - each day seems like an eternity and doesn't everyone else seem to be having their babies early...

Like you I've got a sweep booked for Tuesday but I'm slightly worried about it as it doesn't sound like much fun! Fingers crossed both our babies arrive very soon.

By the way, what was your mums pregnancy like? My mum was late and had to be induced with both me and my brother - just wondered if your family history had anything to do with it.

Anyway I can keep you company in the meantime!
