How old for proper bed with side guard?

Hi all,

Keira is 15 months and im thinking of putting her in a proper single bed with one of those side rails to stop her falling out, althought i will put her cot mattress on the floor too.

She can get off our bed and the sofa herself now too.

Has anyone else put their child / ren in a bed before 18 months? Is it too early at 15 months?

If your little one can climb out of it and is getting to big for it then maybe its the right time for them to have a big bed. As long as your prepared to keep putting them backin bed for a few nights ashaving a big bed is a blessing and a curse!

I found my lo was fine and needed no urging to dstay in bed as it was a adventure! though he did need the bed guard and got up in the middle of the night to play with his toys the monkey!!!!
