Me and babies father are not together and was just wondering how much money should i be asking for? He doesn't work but thats his choice he doesn't claim as he can support his self. He has been claiming proverty and has said hes worried and he needs to get a job. But thats his problem he is capable of getting job he's just so used to not working. So what do you reckon ladies? xxx

Kind of hard to know really. I'd think you are better off seeking legal advice or contacting the CSA as how much he is required to pay etc is worked out by them afaik if he is unwilling to contribute off his own back.

We've not had a chat about it yet, i'm sure he'll pay just wanted to get a few ideas of how much he should be doing. :)

the csa goes by his wages i think so could be hard if his not working , CIT may be the best people to ask .

Citizens Advice Bureau? I have no idea to be honest. I know nats stepdad pays £300 a month maintenance to nats mum for their daughter, but he is a high earner, and the daughter is 10... so not exactly a baby. My mum had to pay for me and my brother through the CSA so I don't know what that equated to and it's not the sort of question I want to ask her... lol :D

psssf CSA do what they want and are pretty useless IMO...my ex is in the army and single and the CSA won't help me, yet I know he can afford to make even minimal payments  .... so I support Tia on my own :D
