How much formula does your lo have per feed? Hannah is 6 weeks old and been giving her about 120-150ml per feed when it's a purely formula feed.

Does that sound about right. The aptamil box says 150ml of water and then five scoops. So by time powder on it goes up to about 180 ish.... But this seems too much? I worry about giving her the full 180..... But should I be?....

Xx

kayla is 4 weeks and takes 150 and has 7 bottles a day, iv been worried its too much but mw and hv both say its fine but doc when she was in hosp saidshe should have 90 per bottle but no way she accept that lol, doc did just use the weight formula though

she was having 90 at 2 weeks

alyssa has 4oz if she takes a full bottle before being full. side of box says for her age its 3 or 4 oz but for weight it can be up to 5 lol. im not sure what that is in mls as i havent got a bottle in front of me and im stuck here bf'ing lol

Is that 150 ml of total including water and powder hugsy or 150 ml of water measured out then powder added? Xx

Joe is 6 weeks and has 5oz (150ml) when he has a bottle. That's the water measurement but when I add powder it doesn't go up much more.

thanks...how many botles would you say he usually has in 24 hours? about 6?

I wondered that about the amount increasing when powder is mixed. Emily is 5 and half weeks and we usually give her 120ml for a feed (water is 120ml, so more when powder is added) - often she won't take it all iin one go though, so we stagger the feed.

yeah 150 of water and then add the powder so ends up about 160 or just over , but i stil count it as 150

she almost never vomits so guessing she does need it, MW says you cant over feed a baby as they will spit back up what they dont need, I was worried Kayla was having too much because she has reflux so sometimes i think itss comfort feeding but she still doesnt be sick , Health visitor said it was o to let her have up to 180 per feedd but i personally think thats too much so gona try stick to the 150 for now

Yeah it's always about 150 max here too.

Hi hunni we have just moved Jaiden onto C&G Comfort milk cos he was suffering with his tummy, but he now has usually 5 6oz bottles a day

He was 6 wks old on monday.

Agree with the others they will throw up what they dont need! xx

so glad this thread came up. AJ is 3 weeks old and was 6lb 5 at birth. He is only taking 90mls / 3 ounces every feed. If he has more he is sick everywhere. Do you all think thats ok???????? I'm worried about his weight gain as it has been slow but he doesn't want anymore!

i think thats about right for his weight hon...they will only take as much as they need...so it must be all he needs at the moment xx
