LO is now five and half months and in her third week of purees. She is certainly enjoying her food, but I'm not sure how much I should be giving her? Most of the websites I have looked at say a couple of ice cubes worth... She is having two 'meals' a day - each of about 1/3 to 1/2 of a jar... Is this too much do yo think? She is still taking the same amount of milk (FF) as previously. I am concerned I am giving her too much - but she would happily take more if I let her. How much are you all giving your LOs at this age / stage?

I make my own most of the time but tend to do about a jar of baby foods worth. Phoebe normally lets me know when she's had enough she'll keep turning away and spitting it out, maybe try and wait until she does something like that. The worst that will happen is that she'll sick some of it back up x

The most ive given in one meal is a dessert spoonful and that tends to be apple or aptamil porridge. Just made a batch of carrot, potato, apple and potato and a bit of pepper and put 2-3 teaspoons in each cube if that helps x

alyssa has a whole rusk and 3 chunks of pureed banana which is about 2 big dessert spoonfuls and happily eats it all but if i make more she wont take it, turns her head away or spits it out

I give one ice cube size puree in the morning, one icecube size puree in the aftenoon then half a rusk early evening.. Gonna keep with this til he's 5 months then may increase it

I'm a bit lost with all this weaning business to be honest lol!!

Xxx

Me too... Trying to fit it all in to our non existent routine is proving to be a bit of a challenge! LO is loving her food though! :)

I keep giving her food till she tells me she doesn't want it (by turning head, closing mouth or dropping it on the floor). Sometimes that is loads and sometimes hardly anything. It is hard work though, I seem to spend the whole day, preparing food, giving food and clearing up afterwards then starting again. Breastfeeding seems so easy in comparison (I wasn't saying that when she was newborn).
