I worry ALOT about this :(

I tend to scan every meal, making sure I use as many food group as I can

I wish I could relax abit but outside pressure from HV's don't help even though my HV has always been really nice :wall2:

How much do you worry?

Do you think your children could eat more or perhaps less?

I always worry about their eating :( and their weight :( I never think they are eating enough, Dec eats like a little pig but he needs it, he is so hyper and always on the move but I am always trying to get that little extra into him. Dan eats well, he is very healthy and always wants to know what is on his plate, fat and sugar content, this is because he plays a lot of sports and has been made aware of fats and sugars so he will always look for the good and bad ones, but I am always thinking he could do with a bit of bulking up.

I have actually had Dan to my docs 3-4 times about him being so skinny, they done the usually health checks asked questions and basically told me to bugger of, on the last visit I was actually told by my doc that you cant fatten a Pedigree, WTF my son is not a dog !!!! I know what he ment but lol

It drives me crazy

My 15 year old is studying Childcare for GCSE and a little while ago they were chatting about how many mums obsessed over their childs eating habits  My DD was nodding away

I used to worry lots about how much Harrison eats but not so much anymore. I try to give him as much variety as pos and put veg into his favourites eg: spag bol, risotto etc but am quite relaxed now. Ivf he's hungry he'll eat loads and if not he won't and nothing I say or do changes that so let him guide it to some extent now.

Know what u mean tho Mamafy - it used to be the thing I worried about most xxx

i'm more bothered about actually getting some food inside her at the moment!! i do worry she's not getting enough veg, but she eats tonnes of fruit! we're going thru a not eating phase at the moment and its driving me insane!!

I worry about this all the time. Evie has started to become fussy and refuse or spit food out. I feel awful if she goes to bed without her tea and I'm constantly looking at her tummy as she seems skinny to me (she was last weighed Feb 1st and was 21lb). I still use my Annabel Karmal book to make her recipes so I know she is getting the right fod groups too, although I'm trying to get us all to eat tea together and she eats what we have.

I've asked her HV loads of questions but all I get told is she'll eat if she is hungry and as long as she is drinking that's the main thing. Doesn't make me feel any better though but they are happy with her weight.

She has suffered from reflux since birth (diagnosed at 4 wks old) so has always had smaller amounts of milk more often but after pressure from her nursery we have now dropped the two daytime bottles and she just has the two (one morning and one night) 8oz botltes, but she doesn't drink half of this either so I also worry she doesn't get enough milk.

Feeding has got to be my main worry with her, I can't wait for the day she can tell me what she wants to eat!!

i dont worry too much, each meal i make sure is healthy and homemade... if they eat it then yay, if not then i dont worry... if they are hungry enough theyll eat it and some days will eat certain things, other days they wont eat that particular thing any more. as long as i make sure that the food i put on their plate is varied and healthy im doing my job.. its up to them if they eat it or not. like for instant Rhys HATES tomatoes.. he just doesnt like the taste, but every time we have something with tomatoes on it i still put it on his plate, he tries it (every time) and still pulls a face... ok.. thats fine as long as hes tried a bit, maybe in a few months he will decide to like it. rhys and ffion used to eat hardly anything because of their dairy intollerence making their tummies hurt but now they eat an average amount most days.

I'm not too worried. I always give him a healthy breakfast to get a good start for the day but then just go with the flow, as long as he gets one warm meal a day (and a nutritious one) I am not worried :) He's a healthy happy boy so can't be bad :)

 All of the time!!!!

I have a thread in here about my little fussy/non eater.

Its a constant worry about how much he's eating but he's healthy, growing and developing well.

I tend not to worry about his weight as he's on the move constantly and has always gained very slow but steady.

I don't worry about what her eating, I make sure her food's homemade and the right sized portion but because she's such a good eater who loves fruit and veg I don't worry x we don't keep chocolate, crisps, fizzy drinks etc in the house and she'll pick water or milk over juice x I used to worry about how skinny she is but hv reassured me she's within the expected weight range for her height and age x she also loves to help out in the kitchen and watch me cook and is really interested in the ingrediants x I think I'll worry more when she gets older and is subject to peer pressure about her weight etc but until then I'm quite relaxed x

my little boy seems to never stop eating he will have

a breakfast at home before nursery ( usually two wetabix)
a breakfast a nursery
a snack of fruit
lunch (pasta ect)

Sandwiches at nursery and then will come home and eat a full dinner with pudding and a treat afterwards and there is nothing on him he is like a rake.
