HOW MANY WEEKS MATERNITY LEAVE????

How many weeks maternity leave are we entitled to?

I know that the law had a few changes recently and am confused wether I am entitled to 26 or 39 weeks SMP.

The policys and procedures at my work are not fully updated yet and have been told different answers buy different staff. I am getting really confused and don't want to return earlier than I need to.

Hi Nie, It's 39 weeks now - used to be 26 weeks but it changed for babies due after 1st April 07 x

yea mine started on 17th june fathers day

dont return till march or june next year. theres 2 dates on mine and not sure which is which lol apparently my workplace keeps job open for 12months.

I heard it had gone up to 52 weeks

9 months is paid the rest is optional unpaid
