How many Oz's per feed?

Hi Guys!

My three week old has been taking 4oz every two hours, but he still seems unsettled after feeding, despite winding and changing, etc.

Sometimes we offer him another bottle, he drinks about 1oz and then falls asleep.

5oz seems such a lot of milk for a three week old? Does anyone elses baby take this much?

Also he falls asleep after about 2oz and then we have to wait until he wakes up for the rest of the milk. Is this the norm as well? It takes us an hour to get a bottle down him!!

i wouldnt worry hun i cant see any problem with 5oz he will soon say when hes had enough

my firends lil girl at birth was drinking 6oz :O

Finley has done this a few times and he is only 2wks, last night he had 4oz and then another 4oz just under 2 hours later, but he did sleep a 4hr stretch afterwards, babies are like us i guess, sometimes we are hungrier than other times

He sounds just like nathan. I have started making up 5oz bottles now cos he was draining the 4oz bottles but he hardly ever drinks it all. He usually takes 4- 4 1/2oz. he doesn't usually take all his bottle in one go either, he'll have at break inbetween.

Is he polishing off the whole bottle? if he is then its advisable to put another ounce in
