Hiya .. Just wondering how many of you ladies has really long irregular cycles?? And do you take anything to shorten them, and does it work? Im on cd 62  .. My longest cycle ever .. Wich is making it even harder to concieve!

I had 9/10 week cycles for a year and half, but they have come down to about 30days on their own. Having said that, I think lots of people on here have tried agnus castus to shorten their cycles and its worked. I never used it then cos I didn't know it existed, so it might be worth a try. I think you are only supposed to take it up till you ovulate, cos it's not reccomended if you are pg.

mine have improved dramatically. First year off the pill they were 60-130 days, second year they were 45-75 days, third year 24-55 days

they're still unsettled almost 3 years down the line, but really getting better. Last month 29 days, month before 40 days, currently day 26 and no sign of ovulation so it's another long one.

mind you they were irregular before I went on the pill, it's just that it's so long ago I don't remember how much by.

On the other side, I feel your frustration - other people are onto the next cycle and you're still waiting to ovulate and you feel like you don't get enough chances.

I don't take anything. But I'm a right wimp about pills. I don't take anything without medical advice.

Hey,

I came off the pill at the end of Jan - 1st cycle 36 days and they have been around 30-32 days with OV around 19-22 and short luteal phase. I tried Agnus Castus last month and OV'd CD19 which was my earliest and started spotting 10DPO (again the longest) but I had 3 days of spotting which seemed strange so Ive stopped the AC this month. Am hoping I dont OV late again or get a short LP otherwise Im going to regret stopping it.

Like Scotch says though Im not sure its great putting stuff in your system. Im hoping my body will regulate itself and I know I need to give myself time after coming off the pill as it mucks up your body. x

Hey ladies.... Sorry to but in here.

Hope you are well.

I had very long cycles and sometimes alot of lacking AF before i got my BFP and i managed to get it when least expecting it (infact we weren't 'trying' that month due to complications.) so no idea when i ov'd and what not.

Just wasnted to say although long cycles can be stressful and sometimes make it a bit harder ttc, you ladies are sure to get there in the end :D.

When i had my first Gynaecologist appointment i said to her it is so much harder to get pregnant with irregular periods and her reply was ' well, not necessarily.' I thought to myself PFFFFFFTTTT..... Maybe she hasnt had irreg cycles lol.

Hope ths help ladies, Just trying to reassure you that it will happen :D.

Amy xxx
